Sarah Bowman is a writer and photographer who has lived in Los Angeles for over 30 years. An experienced cultural curator and fundraiser, she most recently served as the Senior Regional Director, LA for Common Sense Media from 2015-2021. She founded and currently edits the website The Family Savvy, where she blogged about LA culture for kids while raising her family. A former film industry executive (she developed scripts for Spielberg), who graduated from Brown (she got a degree in Modern Media Studies), she counts her lucky stars that her grown kids are gainfully employed and living nearby.
